I have done full service of the 1.4 opel Astra, and after few hours the car stop revs over 2500. We checked the Timing and all the belts. We have not tested the Fuel pump yes the filter is new.
Everytime we go over 2500 rev /min it misfires.
What could be the problem.

A broken serpentine belt leads to a sudden loss of power assist for the steering system, where the steering wheel all-of-a-sudden becomes very hard to turn. ... A broken serpentine belt stops the water pump from circulating coolant (antifreeze) through the cooling system, and the engine can overheat - anywhere!
wasting money changing anything without first having the fault codes read
It is in limp mode so find out why first as it could be a transmission problem that put it in limp mode
As long as the idle air control valve is working, ( I assume this is what you replaced, I would first check to make sure it is operating correctly), If it is, then Id begin searching for a vacuum leak

This is my first timing belt change on my 2005 Toyota Sienna; and I am .... just switch my cam sprockets backwards and upgrade my 2.0 to a 2.4.
please explain what is happening. Timing belts have nothing to do with engine rpms other than to keep the valves in correct time. If the engine just revs up to 3-4000rpms then there are other sensors that are faulty. run the fault codes to find out which ones may need fixing.
