Hello R, thank you for your question! Generally speaking it
is recommended that the temperature knob is set in the middle for both the
refrigerator and freezer compartment for top mount refrigerators. The
temperature can be adjusted by moving the knob in small increments, allowing
the temperature to stabilize. If you desire a colder temperature, then turn the
knob towards COLDER, or for warmer temperature, turn the knob towards COLD.
Turning the refrigerator control will change temperatures in both compartments.
For example, if the refrigerator control is turned to a colder setting, the
freezer control may have to be adjusted to a warmer setting. Turning the
freezer control will only change the freezer temperature. Hope this proves to
be helpful!
Hi Eleanor: I was unable to find a free source online for the Manual & Recipe Book for the Chefmate TR700 Bread Maker. However there are number of sites that make the manual available for a fee; I have included links for 3 options below:
Warmest settings are CCW and COLDER settings are clockwise on the control. Use the numbers as a reference point but... CCW = warmer Clockwise = COLDER
Thanks for choosing FixYa,
Kelly
jeeze! none of these idots who replied are reading your question!!! I have the same issue not sure which is warmer and which is colder. in my full size fridge, 1 is warmer, and the higher numbers are colder. if you found the solution though- i would really appreciate it if you could let me know! my email is [email protected]... i have been searching for the user manual online and cant find it anywhere. cant even find a website for chefmate!!!
My chefmate is **** because the internal fan is garbage, its cheap, it
doesn't work or give enough flow, try a higher flow unit. You can get
the 12v at tigerdirect.com with some high flow (AND LIGHTS :) ) for a
few bucks to save your 100 dollar investment. The removal of the orig
fan is easy. The evap is a good setup, but the cooling setup for it
seems to be sh*t. Cheap fans = cheap setup and this is why everyone
hates these units cause it can't pump the goods.
For the record my fan died, so my evap and fan froze over completely
and spoiled my food and burned out the fan completely and probably
helped to short it. I can get it going if I flicker the fan with my
finger but she is dead and can't catch naturally. You could replace the
chefmate fan with most computer fans too... fyi if you got a junk tower
laying around.
While your at it clean the fans on the back and take off the back panel
which kicks out the hot air from the hot flow. It helps if your unit is
older (a year plus+ in a dorm is like 4 in a clean house lol)
