F3 errors can indicate a mag problem. Check your fuses first, it can also be a door switch. If your fuses are good, you need to inspect the 2 magnetrons. If you have a burned tip on one the waveguide and waveguide cover will need to be replaced. I usually replace the entire system at a cost to the customer of $1500.00

F3 mag current

well...seems that you have an early warning of a possible failure of a major component. Is this unit still under warranty, by chance?

Why turbochef tornado dont pass to ready to cook and de IR is adjusted to1000F and dont pass to 378 F.

Open right side pannal. Check the signs of arc or burnt wires. If you know how to use DMM the check its resistance if its 14.4 ohms then replace SSR relay. And that's it. Goog to go now MAKE SURE YOU DISCHARGE THE CAPACITORS.

I have tornado electric oven.My blower motor is keep making noise(seems that it is getting more power to run).I checked motor resistance and its okay.Any suggetions

Until the oven receives cook commands, it will continue to cycle until you give it a command.

Turn it from idle mode to off mode. Should be in your user manual page 11...

TURBOCHEF TORNADO OVEN...Errors F3 Mag Current and F5 Mag Temp just began. They appear occasionally, now and then. Oven temp seems about right to me. What needs replacing or attention? Thanks!

the mag's only activate while in cook cycle, it will be hot as normal with toasted subs that are cold in the center.
AMP draw the Mag's and ohm the Mag thermal couples

What does f3 mag mean on the display?

F3: Magnetron Current Low

Fault is displayed when the current transformer

(CT) on the I/O control board does not detect

enough current. The fault is monitored when the

microwave is on during a cook cycle or self-test.

The fault is cleared from the display at the onset of

a cook cycle if the CT detects current or when the
magnetron is successfully energized in Test Mode

Turbochef Tornado doesn't always heat food internally

you could have a problem with the microwave circuit. That would really be the only thing preventing the food from heating internally. I would call turbochef and call for warrenty service again. Is the bread comming out nice and toasty. If the blower for the convection circuit is weak or sticking this also cause the same effect of not properly cooked food.

So check microwave circuit and also check the blower.

Hope this helps if you need more in depth advice feel free to ask

My turbochef tornado gives an error messag of

this is simple to fix but usually costly sorry to say.

F1 blower means the motor is not running when commanded.

first check the motor and verify if it spins freely - if the motor does not spin freeely remove the obstruction or replace the blower part# NGC-1025
just to clarify its the big blower behind the cook chamber not the little fan in the electrical compartment.

I have NGC tornado Turbochef, it is toasting too

the subway ovens are supposed to be around 1000 dont change any of the settings if you think you are having programming issues speak to your field rep and ask them to reprogram your oven. they have a smart card for doing this. it will give you all the latest buttons including hashbrowns and breakfast stuff.

most common problem with toasting to dark is that you are using the wrong buttons

try cooking the next sandwich on the 1meat hotwell setting and select the sandwich size. you will notice the sandwich cooks much lighter.

if you cook using the combo subs button this could be your problem. most of the time re-training is just needed

F3 Mag Curr. on Turbochef Tornado

Hello. Interesting coincidence, but that error code is for the magnetron/microwave part of the toaster. You will need to have it serviced by someone familiar with the unit, it could be easy and reasonable, if just a fuse blew, but not likely. If the fuse blew, it is 20amps, so something took it out. Call turbo chef, they will get you to the closest servicer, may be able to help you on the phone.
