''Subway Turbochef Electric oven code F6 EC !!! what to do and all the time drop the temp... please advise us .. some time says... blower service to be needed... please help....KC
Hello. There is a temperature sensor built into the control board, and the temp in that area, is getting too hot. On the back of the unit, right top, there is a cooling fan that comes on at a certain temperature, if the intake is clogged, you will get this error, clean the intake. Inside the unit may be so dirty, it may require cleaning as well. The fan itself could be bad, and does not run, then it will need replacement.
Hope that helps, and thank you.
F6: EC (Electrical Compartment) Temperature High
Fault is displayed when the EC thermocouple
exceeds 158?F (70?C). It is monitored once per
minute.
The electrical compartment is overheating. Remove the panel on the right side and clean out all the dust. Check the fan at the back and see if its blowing alot of air. Sometimes this fan can get so clogged up with dirt, it slows down the air flow.
