Sirius Satellite Radio S50-TK1 Satellite Radio Receiver with Car Kit Logo

My 2007 Mazda 6 has a dealer installed Sirius satellite radio. A few weeks ago I changed one of the credit cards I used to pay for the internet monthly subscription add-on. Since I forgot to update the credit card on the account, my account was suspended. I called Sirius and had them change the card. Since that time, I had an unusual occurrence on my Satellite radio. Two of the stations of which I had preset (Channels 144 and 36 on presets 1 and 2 respectively) were all of a sudden invalid channels. When I called Sirius, they tried to update the channels 3 or 4 times over the air. They gave up and had me go to the dealer. The dealer could not fix it either with the help of Sirius tech support. Their conclusion: I would have to buy a new receiver a $500.00 cost. I need help with this. All other channels work fine and are crystal clear. What could have happened? A short somewhere? Possibly?

Actually, I happen to have enother subscription with a portible Stiletto, and I can receive the channel there along with the Internet radio. So the channel still exsists, and it is still in the basic package offered by Sirius. I cannot tune these channels at all. because when I manually tune them, they get skipped over, as if they weren't there. But I assure you, they still exsist in the basic package.

Okay, definitely do not spend $500, that is crazy, but I think I got your issue here. Since the Sirius / XM merger, there are sometimes 2 different stations, on Sirius, the other XM. With channel updates things have changed a bit. For instance, your channel 144 is probably now channel 123. Channel 36 can be found going to channel 81. So basically replace those two presets with the new channel numbers, 123 and 81.

Hope that helps!!

Good luck,
EJ Kudelka

No i dont think so i think that either these two channels are no longer part of the package or you need to pay more subscription to get them than your paying now ,have you tried tuning these channels in on another preset button?? doubt if they will work though i think its more likely that they are no longer available
