Use this procedure to reprogram the remote transmitters

1. Turn "on" the ignition.
2. Press the Valet Switch 5 times and wait for horn confirmation of entry into programming mode.
3. Press and release the "Lock" transmitter button on each remote to be coded (one at a time).
4. The system will respond to each with an audible confirmation.
5. Turn "off" the ignition to exit program mode.

The unit should retain the transmitter codes almost indefinitely and should not require reprogramming periodically. I suggest that you call Omega Research and Development, the makers of Excalibur, to see if your unit can be replaced. Their number is 800-554-4053 and their is www.caralarm.com

Just stop working.. one year old

It should still be in warranty, even if it is slightly past the 12 month period a phone call to the supplier might bring a pleasant surprise. It really should have lasted longer

The way to approach this sreies of issues is to first remove the remote start/alarm from the equation and restore the vans electrical system back to original. From there, if it persists, we can do more trouble shooting. Let me know and I can walk you through the process. This is definately a problem that does require a diagnostician. Thank you for the level of detail you provided!

Replaced batteries.changed codes verified not in lock position checked wiring-checked breakers -remotes dont work have 2 different units-one commercial all stopped working on same day -need help

I have the Same Problem...
2 similar but independent 315MHz Craftsman door openers stopped receiving any remote signals at the exact same time. One hour they worked , next hour they didn't, no storms in area.

I know remotes are good because they still open our subdivision gate. the Only way to open door is with wall pad. Verified that they are not on vacation lock. 5 different remotes, 2 different keypads all no longer open door.
I tried resetting codes with learn button but they won't take new programming. Also before when an unlearned remote was used in the area, the learn light would at least flicker (as if it was receiveng a code, but rejecting it) It no longer even does that.
i even cycled the circuit breaker and the vacation lock, no help.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Remote starter will not restart my vehicle

If you have an alarm, or remote start with an alarm, you need to press and hold thethe valet button which would be hidden under the dash on the driver side, as you are turning the key sometimes remote starts have a starter disable or an alarm option to reset it that is what needs to be done, some systems even if you dont have an alarm go into a valet mode if your remote battery is old or you never reset it or the alarm kicked in or what have you. if this does not work for you then you will need to bring it to a dealership and have them do a total reset to the computer you can also try disconnecting the negative battery cable, but do this with the door open cause it will reset everything, and google the reset procedure for the key fob (remote).. do that reset for the remote and it should save you money from having to bring it to a shop or dealer.
hope this helps.

Remote starter will not start vehicle

first thing i would try is locate the main box for auto start. usually it is under dash on the driver side when installed. then find the lage or hrness with the most wires going to it and unplug it/wait a few min. then plug it back in. sometimes the unit will go into a security mode. this will just reset it. if this doesn't work then let me know
