It may be possible that your cellphone's board short circuited when it was submerged into the water. i recommend that you ask a nokia center technician if that is possible for repair but i think that you'll spend a bit much if your cellphone will be fixed. but i doubt it.

I droped my N70 in WATER...

remove battery, if not done already, let it dry, at least for days. drying faster, if you can open it somehow...

i hope fresh water, salt water means it will die whatever you try as the salt will destroy the circuit boards after some days.

N70 dead

It may be hard to find someone to *repair* your cell phone ans it usually cost more to fix them than it does to make new ones, If it is less than 12 months old call your wireless provider from a landline phone for possible warranty exchange.

Nokia N70

hi,
if you need only to reset settings dial *#7370# after that it will ask for security code dial 12345.

for a hard reset follow these steps:
- Turn off PIN code requests.
- Charge the phone fully.
- Turn off the phone.
- Remove the memory card (not really needed, but I usually do it to be on the safe side).
- Put the phone on a table (easier to press the keys then, in my opinion).
- Press green button , number 3 button and * button and keep them securely down and do not release.
- While the keys are still down, turn the power on.
- Do not release the three keys until you see the prompt for the home city.

If it doesn't work, retry until you get it right. It is easier if you have three hands. wink.gif

hope to be useful

Help again

If you drop your phone in water, there's no cure it will drown,
Water and electrical devices, whether AC or DC do not mix very well.
The only thing you can do is take all the removable parts off, and dry them using a low heat hair dryer. Some bits and pieces can be changed, but it will end up costing you just as much as buying another phone, near enough anyway.
I would put it down to, a bit of bad history best forgotten and I would buy another phone. It might work OK after a while of leaving it in the sun, but in the end it all depends on how long the phone was in water.
