Mary,
The problem you are having is the vent assembly blower part number 154562802 for 4000 series aquasurge dishwashers by Frigidaire. The service manual will tell you to replace this part but it can be fixed in most cases. This part is located on the top, right back of the tub. You will have to remove the unit from the cab to get access. Remove the part and disconnect the wires. There are two fasteners on the cover of the vent assy unit with the note "Do not remove cover no serviceable parts". Inside you will most likely find the rubber valve clogged up preventing the valve from closing enough for the pickup to break the contacts with the switch board. I would recommend removing the rubber value from the unit by pulling the wire clip pin. Clear the rubber valve and reinstall. Make sure you have the valve in the correct position and reinstall the pin and fan and replace the cover and reinstall the vent assy. You should be good to go for another year or so until the build up needs to be cleaned again. This is a very poor design by Frigidaire.
Good Luck
It means there is something wrong with the vent. My dishwasher is 6 months old and I had it replaced at about 3 months and it just happened again tonight.... Took about a week and a half for the part to come in and if it is under warranty, they will repair. From what I remember, it was somewhat difficult for the repairman to get at.
SOURCE: Frigidaire = Garbage
go with a kenmore reasonable price ....work very well and sears is very good re their appliances per warranty
SOURCE: I just installed a new Frigidaire dishwasher.
this is a vent problem you need to check the vent motor and make sure tha the wire have not been pinched by the door spring and make sure it is connected properly.the vent should be located on the top or possibly the right side of the cabinet.
Hello Teresa Ann - Typically error code UO indicates that while the dishwasher is in wash cycle, the main control board is not receiving signal from the vent assembly and that the vent plunger is in a closed position. A professional will need to check the wiring between both parts and depending from the results either part may need replacing.
