Hi, I have the same chargong prolem with my A630. I know it is not the charging port problem because when I connect a charger I get an error message saying it was unable to charge. So I guess it is a blown fuse as you have described. Can you tell me the location of the fuse on the main board? Thanks!
Don't know how to replace the "fuse" you mentioned but there is an indirect solution to the charging problem. There are a number of cheap Motorola phones that use the same battery. Get one of them from eBay for a few bucks and use them as an "external desktop" battery charger. Then just swap the batteries when needed.

Please check the connector / port where u plug-in the charger. Does it happen with all other compatible chargers or only with the one you have. Also try charging some other compatible laptop with the same charger. If that works, it means there is some problem with the port. Its not making the connections well.
Hi,
Please, try using another charger with the phone.
If the problem continues, get a screw driver, unscrew the phone and bring the charging port out. The charging port is at the tail end of the phone.
Clean the surface of the panel where the charging port contact the panel with a spirit and allow it to dry for 30 minute. Couple back the phone and i am sure the charging phone will work fine.
Regards
You could try getting a different charger for your phone. Maybe your charger is just bad. It could be the charging port is dirty. Try and put a Q-tip and clean it. If not take it to your phone provider for a new phone.
yes the charging port may need to be replace or if the fuse connected to the main-board is faulty then you may need a new mobile but take it to a mobile service center and have it check.
