Re: I`ve replaced my steering column and my car won`t...
Review the following instructions to make sure everything was done step by step.
Check for a miscalibrated neutral safety switch which would cause the car not to turn over when the key is rotated to the 'start' position.
---
Neutral Safety Switch
ADJUSTMENT
- Place transaxle shift lever in N.
- Loosen switch attaching screws.
- Rotate switch on shifter assembly to align service adjustment slots.
- Insert 3?32 in. (2.34mm) max. diameter gauge pin or drill bit to a depth of 5?32 in. (12mm).
- Tighten 2 attaching screws to 20 ft. lbs. (27 Nm).
- Remove gauge pin.
- Ensure that engine will start only in P and N positions. If engine will start in any other position, readjust switch.
