Which password. If you are talking about the passwor on boot (before even Windows start), there is nothing you can do about it yourself. You must take or send the computer to a Toshiba Certified Service Center. You may have to show proof of ownership, and you may be charged for the reapir if out of warranty.

If you are talking about the Windows Login password, you may try to reinstall the OS. Also, there circulate on the Internet sofiware to extract account password. However, I never used one of those so I am unable to say more about that.

Most DESKTOP computers have a jumper to "clear CMOS settings",
but most NOTEBOOK computers do NOT have that jumper.

The password exists to protect the owner of the computer, should a thief be trying to use the computer.

You probably can remove the disk-drive, and copy the files onto a new computer, if you don't want to pay TOSHIBA to bypass the password.

After you logon, you can remove the account password in Control Panel.
If you forgot Windows logon passowrd, you can create a Windows password reset disk to reset your lost or forgotten Windows password, i have created one with the tool Windows Password Breaker and reset my administrator password successfully.

Are you able to get in in Safe mode (F8 on boot) , maybe try Administrator with no password. Then you could reset your admin password.

Toshiba will sell you one. Around $20.

remove the rtc battery it's look like a bateery on the organizer its round and flat remove it then disconnect to remove the password

The only way to obtain the response for the challenge code is to send your unit to an authorized repair facility. I work at the depot repair facility in Lou.Ky. And we have to send a request to Japan or California to get the response code.
