I have a 2001 oldsmobile aurora i was doing a tune up on it as soon as i waz finished i plugged up the obd computer and it told me it waz misfiring from cyclinder 5 and it also sounded like it waz misfiring wat can i do to resolve the problem

If the injector is clogged it may cause it to run lean & misfire or the cam or crank sensor is causing a misfire. Have an emissions test, proper fuel pressure readings, live computer readings would give u a head start.

It really depends what the problem is, what caused the "Check Engine" to come on. It could be something really minor, but it also could be something more serious that needs to be taken care of as soon as possible. In worst cases driving with the "Check engine" light may cause more damage to the vehicle. If your check engine light came on, I certainly recommend to have your car checked out as soon as possible to be on a safe side.

If the Check Engine light is flashing means that the engine computer (PCM) has detected that your engine is misfiring. Driving with misfiring engine could damage your catalytic converter, which is a very expensive part. Often the misfiring could be caused by bad spark plugs and wires; if you haven't done a tune-up in a while, it might be a good idea to do it now for a start.

Yes, OBD link could be relaced with OEM parts with your dealer.

p0335 CKP Sensor 'A' Circuit Malfunction

p0385 Crankshaft Position (CKP) Sensor B Circuit

p0386 Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance

Make sure your crankshaft sensor is plugged in or replace the sensor if the plug is good.

SOUND LIKE FAULT IN THE CRANKSHAFT SENSOR.

You need a tune-up. I also own an Aurora. This is a great vehicle. Mine has 189,000 miles and all thats been done is spark plugs, alternator (which would explain the headlight dimming on yours, check if it's functioning) thermostat and harmonic balancer. Sounds like a vacuum leak check all vacuum lines for loose connections, cracked hoses.
