Voicemail we just took over a company with the toshiba DKT2020-s I need to access\change the voicemail- can you help?

Here is a link that pretty much explains it. However, it says to dial 400 to get to your voicemail system. This can vary in programming. If you have an auto attendant that answers your inbound calls, just dial 999 to get to the Administrator mailbox, and then follow the rest of the directions.

You would have to dial your voicemail extension. Usually this extension is 850 or 555. Once greeting starts you need to press *. It will then ask you for the user ID and password. User ID should be 990 and password should be 990997. Once in the mailbox you will have to follow the instructions on entering in your message. Below is a site with Toshiba manuals that may help.

What Toshiba Voicemail system do you have? Is it a Toshiba or third party voicemail? Depending who setup you voicemail and what version you have. Mailbox 990 is the Intro greeting "thank you for calling xyz company". Mailbox 991 is the main greeting "press 1 for sales press 2 for tech support etc. If you have a toshiba Voicemail. Need to login to 990 and 991 (need to know passwords) Newer versions you can setup just 991 mailbox for both.

You did not say what kind of voicemail you have but since you have a DK16e I'll assume it is a Stratagy. The Company Greeting is usually split between mailboxes 990 and 991. MB 990 is the introduction ( Thank you for calling ABC Company) and MB 991 are the instructions ( If you know your parties extension please enter it now .... ). The Admin mailbox to set this up is 999 if you have three digit extension numbers and the default password is 999997#. If this password has been changed then you will have to get a local Toshiba dealer to help you as the password will have to be reset via a computer connected to the maintenance port of the voicemail. If you have a computer already set up to program the voicemail then that is where you will also take care of the Directory issues. you need to log in to your voice mail. when you hear your voice press * , enter your user id, enter your security code then follow the prompt.

This is a very common problem with the Message waiting light, it can be used to turn on other msg waiting lights on other phones, or used to call back the voicemail after a message has been left in your mailbox. What you need to do is cancel the message waiting light, the code is Intercom + #409, then you will hear a studder dial tone, do that code from both phones (ext 11 and ext 24) and it should solve your problem. I would recommend after using the code, follow up with leaving a message in each phones mailbox to turn the light back on and see if then when you press it, it will take you to your mailbox.

The phone you have DKT2020-SD can be used on many different Toshiba phone systems. For a phone all you will find are user guides. You need to find out which phone system you have and look for the manual for the system. All the Toshiba phone systems say "Toshiba" plus the description on the front cover. Example: "Toshiba Strata DK-280"

Not sure what you plan to change but programming can be quite difficult if you have no experience with it. It does depend a lot on which system you have. Many of the newest systems require special programming software.
