I have had a Kenmore Elite HE3 Electric Dryer for a number of years. As of today, it seems to have no power (it won't start/the panel has no illumination). The Dryer is plugged in. I checked the electric panel and no breakers were tripped. That's about as far as I can go with it. Ideas??

This is an overheating issue. The dryer needs to be cleaned at least once a year. This means pull the bottom panel off that is under the door and vacuum out all the lint. Then clean the outlet and duct work that it connects to. There are some other causes but that should take care of it.

Might be a2 things: Vent blockage causing overheat OR bad thermistor. Repair clinic shows how to replace it:

there is some prob in installation please reinstall kenmore

find the metal sensors in the drum
scratchem up with sand paper

especially if you wash rugs, sneakers , or anything with acyrlic

Yes. Remove the kickplate and check the continuity of the thermal fuse located on the blower housing.

My he3 dryer does not have a door lock. The door switch turns off the light and allows the dryer to start. Make sure this switch is not damaged. Unplug the dryer before removing the front cover.
