. If your dish was square, the glass plate should likely be about 1 inch less wide and 1 inch less deep that the inside of the box.
If you have a round plastic rotator, the dish should be about 1 -2 inches bigger in diameter than the plastic rotator.

Since you did not include a model number in your question I found a manual to a White Westinghouse bread machine but do not know if it is the correct one so hopefully you will find the one you need HERE.

Is it possible that some spray cleaner accidentally got into the controls?

Direct spraying of cleaners on the keypad and steam from the cooktop can damage the controls.

I always recommend that users spray the cleaner on a soft cloth (not on the keypad itself) then wipe the control panel off.

Also, I always recommend non-ammonia cleaners since ammonia can crack and damage plastic.
