The radio is usually tied in with the anti-thief. If it is asking for a code then you probable have to remove the radio far enough to gei the serial number off it. Call a dealership with the radio serial number and then can give you the code. If it is not asking for a code then chances are it is an electrical problem with the radio maybe a fuse.

What is radio unlock code?

thats the code u manually punch in the radio number buttons to renergize the radio an take it out of lockup mode. wont play in this mode. any time the battery is disconnected on the vehicle this code will need entered in radio to make it work again. your owners manual should have code in it or written on a card. this is if ur radio is stolen it cant be used till the RADIO CODE is entered.
tip

DISCONNECTING YOUR BATTERY without losing the RADIO CODE

I constantly read frequent requests for RADIO CODES referring to the disconnection of battery power ( whether its for changing the battery, etc.) and the radio is now INOP. Here is a simple way to save radio codes, radio stations, clock time and computer settings. Purchase from an auto parts dealer, a 9 volt battery powered lighter socket connector. Plug into lighter, do your battery work, After work is completed, disconnect, and radio will work as before. Unit will cost less than 20.00 and well worth it.

I fitted new battery now sterio wont work Toyota hi ace 2007

Look for FOUR digit code in the user manual.
Disconnecting the battery has put the radio in SAFE mode.
If you can't get the code, then take it to the agents.
They will insert the code and get the radio working

I disconnected the battery and when I went to turn on the radio a code came up. I did not know what this ment so I was just started pushing buttons. 3error came up. I then had my son disconnect the battery...

Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery for 3 minutes, and try again. The error message shouldnt be on when you insert the radio code, it wont work. I sure hope that the battery inside the radio didnt die, because it wont be able to retain the code, or the station presets. You will be amazed at how much better the aftermarket radios are. If unable to bring it back to life, do not hesitate replacing it with a well known brand. Most come with inputs to play pendrives and Ipods.

Okay. So my 1995 Volkswagen stereo is in safe mode and everytime i press the two buttons, it just blinks and won't let me enter the code anymore. How do I fix it?

With the radio in safe mode, you have to disconnect the battery again to reset the radio so you can enter the right radio code. If you don't have the radio code or it's wrong, keep me posted. be glad to help you get your radio working again. Good luck, friend.

Same exact thing is happening

Check the fuse and relay to the power window, as for the radio if it does not take any more codes, just disconnect the battery for 1 min and the radio should reset it self for you to try to enter the right code. If you don't have the code to the radio go to www.radio-code.com and they should be able to help you get your radio working again. Good luck and keep em posted.
