You might have a clogged or obstructed vent. There is also a high limit thermostat that is located on the heater element (electric) that sometimes goes bad. There is also a bias or running thermostat. If it's a gas dryer, I would suspect one of the coils on the gas valve, that holds open the gas, is bad. They're cheap to replace.

Coffee not staying hot. How do I get the base to stay hot?

Hello, Tam -

The warming element in the coffee maker base may be faulty (no longer working.) Eventually, heating elements can fail.

You do not state the make and model of your coffee maker, nor do you state how old the machine is.

Depending upon whether you wish to test the warming element to determine if it is no longer working or whether you choose to take the machine to an authorized repair center and depending upon the cost of replacing the warming element, you may choose to just purchase a new coffee maker and send the old one to proper electronics recycling.

There is information here on how to test a coffee maker warming element to determine if it is working:

Look for the section headed "Servicing Warming Elements."

Best wishes.

Maytag neptune dryer doesnt heat

On the housing the element mounts in is a couple of safetys The smaller one is rated for 300f and the bigger one is rated for 250f. If the smaller one is tripped obviously you replace them both, making sure the vent to outside is clear. Them fuses blow or trip because of air restrictions.

Dryer is spinning but doesnt have any heat

Has zero heat or just warm? Does it get hot then cool off? There are three safety devices in this model that shut the element off. If that isn't the problem then it is the element itself.

After the humidifier runs for a few minutes it just shuts off.

You might need to clean around the heating element...
we have very hard water and calcium builds up on and around the heating element and all the surrounding parts. I take it apart and pour CPR around the element and scrub with a brush .. once you get it clean it should stay running.

Coffee maker DCC-2000 will not keep coffee hot, have change the auto off time no effect.

Hi,

Well the procedure to set the auto button off would be as follows. First set to 0 so it shut off as soon as it started brewing. Once the switch is turned to auto off, then when the numbers are blinking hit the hour button until you get the desired hours you want the heating element to stay on. If this does not keep the coffee warm then most likely you have a heating element down and will need to replace it. Please let me know if this does not help else please accept it.

Dryer element stays warm

If it heats w/ the timer in off position whenever plugged in the the element is shorting to ground, its most likely due to either a broken coil or a cracked insulator. If heating w/ timer set for drying but motor is not running, the heat circuit thru the centrifugal/start switch on the motor is stuck closed.

Magic chef electric fee standing range model 35ja-26x

Sounds like a shorted element. This can happen if the element shorts to ground near the middle of the element. Current will then flow from the unswitched side of 240 VAC to nuetral or ground, heating up the same as if on 240 VAC.
