Infinity Modulus System Logo

I have an Infinity Modulus system. My MSW-1 subwoofer will not power up. I have checked the fuse, power cord and power switch, all are good. It seems like a farly common issue but I haven't found a fix. It was working perfectly but a few days ago it just wouldn't turn on.

My pioneer sw-8 subwoofer will not power on

If your Pioneer SW-8 subwoofer is not powering on, there are a few things you can try to troubleshoot the issue:
  1. Check the power cord: Make sure that the power cord is securely plugged into both the subwoofer and a working electrical outlet. If the power cord is loose, try unplugging it and plugging it back in.
  2. Check the power switch: Make sure that the power switch on the back of the subwoofer is turned on.
  3. Check the circuit breaker: The subwoofer may have a circuit breaker that has tripped. Check the circuit breaker on the back of the subwoofer to see if it has tripped. If it has, reset it by pushing the button back in.
  4. Check the fuse: The subwoofer may have a blown fuse. Check the fuse on the back of the subwoofer to see if it has blown. If it has, replace it with a fuse of the same rating.
  5. Check the auto power function: The subwoofer may have an auto power function that turns it off after a certain amount of time if there is no audio signal. Make sure that the audio source is playing and sending a signal to the subwoofer.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, there may be a problem with the amplifier or power supply in the subwoofer.

Out of production. Contact [email protected] to see if replacements are still available. If not, Ebay is your best bet to source either the replacement part or an entire sub assembly.

My subwoofer sometimes turns on and sometimes it don't. I've noticed that when i disconnect the power cord from the wall and connect it back the light/volume doesn't turn on. Also when i turn the amp too...

Subwoofers produce very high levels of vibration due to the intensity of their job. But the problem you are facing is a problem with the power pack. The power pack on the woofer is not supplying properly therefore the light/volume not coming on when the unit is unplugged and replugged. This also affects the woofer when you turn the amp to high because as a result of the power coming from the amp not being properly distributed instead of the power which flows into the woofer from the amp is not distributed accordingly it could blow the woofer so before it gets to that stage the unit shuts down.
All you have to do is get an expert to help you get and replace the power pack.
Hope this solution has been helpful?

The subwoofer just quit working I don't know if i turned something off. I check the various levels and found one that said "sub woofer off/ on and switched it to "on" but it still doesn't work. any...

1) Check your power outet - make sure you have power.
2) Check the cord going to sub-woofer, check power strip if using one, we want to make sure you have power going to the subwoofer.
3) If so check to see if you have a fuse installed in the subwoofer, replace if needed.
4) Make sure your audio wires are attached to subwoofer, inspect audio wire, if it is old wire then replace.
5) Trace your wire back to your system make sure it is connected to the Subwoofer terminal.
6) Check your menu options on your audio system, make sure the subwoofer is enabled.

Harmon Kardon and Infinity Modulus

I got the answer for No-1.
The balance was turned on the Right Channel. That is why Left Channel was not working during the Channel test.
For Channel test the Balance should be in the middle so that both Right and Left Would be heard.

I am working on my Subwoofer Isuue.

I opened the Back Panel and Yet I could ot figure out any issues.

I will open the front panel and see if any connection is loose.

Power Never Comes on

that remote wire has to be hooked up to the power or the radio power antenna wire which will switch the remote wire on when the radio is turned on, so that remote wire really should be hooked to the radio wire that gets power when the radio is turned on , thats why the sub is not turning on
