My Phone will not switch on. I have charged my batterie

On a cell phone it is to extend battery life when the phone is not required. Some phones will still retain some functions eg alarm clock, even when off. You don't need to turn the phone off when charging, but it will charge up faster if you do.

Bring it to a mobile phone store and inquire for a charger. Test it if it will charge your battery the way it should be, before buying it. If it doesn't charge properly in the store, then ask for new battery and test it also before buying it. That way you will know which is malfunctioning: battery, charger or both.

no, that can be a problem in your phone too. charge your phone fully while it is switched off, then switch it on and keep it on until it gets switch off saying battery low. that time period will be the stamina of the battery

Purchasing a new phone is easy and everyone is always in a hurry to use new phone but never go through the manual properly. You did the same you didn't put the battery on charge for 24 hours. Now to check your phone take another charged battery for nokia put it inside your phone and start it. It will deffinetly work. In order to revive your dead battery keep your battery on charge while the phone is switched off for minimum 24 hours. If it gets revived its ok or else purchase a new one.

It looks like battery is damaged... When plugged in to charger phone shouldn't power on. Try put it on charger when on and see if charging icon appear. (top right corner-battery status icon should change -insted of battery to charging.) Battery is fully charged after cca 4 hours, 80% after 2 hours.

make sure the battery is in the right way. the sim is in right. the battery is charged... you may have over charged your battery

The battery is flat.
If the battery is very flat sometimes the phone will not start charging or turn on even when a power cable is connected.

This worked for me:
- Remove battery
- Insert power cable/usb cable
- Orange charge light should start flashing
- Re-insert battery
- Leave phone charge for a couple of hours
- Turn on

Unable to charge

My Nokia 2310 suddenly switched off. It didnt switch on again.
I tried putting the battery(of problem phone) into another cellphone, the battery works fine.
I tried to charge the problem phone, but is not showing any activity upon inserting the charger jack. Other phones are getting charged using the same charger.

Any idea of what the problem could be?

nope just the battery charges fast if u charge it when phone is switched off position.
