Husky Model HU80833 pressure washer was working, then no pressure. What is wrong? Unit is over two years old. Had been working properly earlier in day. While trying to finish job, it lost pressure and nothing would make it get back up to pressure. Also tried it again later, same result

Basic Issues As an electric-powered washer, a circuit overload may cause your Husky 1600 to shut down or prevent it from starting. In this case, check your home's electrical service panel for a tripped breaker or a blown fuse -- the 1600 requires a dedicated circuit rated at a minimum of 15 amps. To prevent a blown fuse, avoid using other large devices on the same circuit as your washer. If you use an extension cord, it must be rated at 15 amps as well. Before moving on to more complex troubleshooting measures, check the gun safety trigger and release the lock if your 1600's trigger will not move. Water Woes Releasing air from the pump serves as a simple fix for low-pressure water output; remove the wand and allow the washer to run as you depress the gun's trigger until the water output normalizes. If your water output seems to lack detergent, ensure that the clear tube is securely connected to the detergent nozzle. Likewise, check the connected water supply and make sure the faucet is fully open and that there are no kinks in the hose to ensure optimal pressure. Using a shorter garden hose makes for stronger pressure, as well -- Husky recommends a hose with a maximum length of 50 feet for a city water supply. Clearing Clogs If your Husky 1600's pressure seems lacking or its water flow is obstructed, clean the nozzle by removing the wand from the gun, clearing the nozzle hole of obstructions with a stiff wire and flushing the nozzle with clean water. Similarly, clean the washer's inner water screen, located behind the garden hose connector, by removing the screen and flushing it with water. This also corrects low or irregular pressure and may remedy a unit that does not stop releasing water when the trigger is released. Model HD1600 features a chemical solution reservoir with a similar screen; clean this screen in the same fashion if you experience chemical intake issues. Husky recommends contacting customer service when your 1600 has problems with its pump, bypass valve, discharge valve or manifold assembly, for instance. Because this series of powerwashers was originally offered around 2001 through 2008, Husky's one-year limited warranty no longer covers the cost of replacement parts or repairs.

Looks like it might be a faulty/sticking pressure sensor/switch on the pressure side of the unit.

I don't believe that Husky (Home Depot) makes any 3000psi pressure washer that operates with a 2 Cycle motor. So.... gas only in the gas tank. Husky pumps can be from several differant manufacturers... some use no oil, some are sealed and don't recommend any attempt at oil changes, and some use Non-detergent 30w oil and some use 20-50 Full Synthetic oil. You can look up your specific model specifcations with a google search for Husky pressure washer.

if it is a gas engine check for low oil level and or sending unit working properly, if it is an electric unit check for proper setting on pressure sending unit.

Check the inlet strainer where the water supply hose is attached,this is located just inside the coupling where you hook up the water hose.

Lime/calcium build up in the pump.
Pour a large amount of liquid TSP into the fresh water inlet and let it sit for two or three days, the longer the better.

you may have a broken or sheared pin. That being said I am stepping out of my comfort zone because I do not know that exact model but I have seen it happen to others. Any small engine shop should be able to repair it for a reasonable price.

The only way to get down to the bottom of this is to get yourself the necessary fittings and high pressure gauge so you can read what the line pressure is while the trigger is released and applied.
You have to get down to the source, find out what it is.
Could be a bad pump, bypass valve, debris inside trigger, or spray tip is worn out or is too big for the unit it has been attached too (not enough GPM).

looks like you will have to get the diaphragm seals in the pump replaced
