Page 46 of the scanned copy of the manual or near by pages describes an all clear procedure that unfortunately for you deletes all data if the password is unknown.
How big are your movie files in MB, and are you using your USB 2.0 to upload or USB 1? Keep in mind USB 2.0 is a little over twice the speed of data transfer, and how long is long? 4 minutes, 2 hrs...? Based on your specs, it shouldn't be more than a few minutes. Check your Task Manager for CPU or Memory hungry processes while transferring.
Be sure that you are searching in the TEL directory where the original data was stored. Press the TEL button to change from TEL-1 ---> TEL-2 ---> TEL-3 ---> and back to TEL-1. If you are searching in TEL-2 or TEL-3 and your data is in TEL-1, then that would explain your problem. Here is a link to the manual for your device:
Sorry, if it had COMPLETELY died then there is no way to get that info
back. That's why at tech support we always recommended that you change
