Texting my incoming texts from my contacts, displays their number, i want it to display their name

    Mine didn't do that until recently and it only does it with one contact. I tried saving the contact in both the sim and outlook but it still doesn't recognize the contact.

When you store a contact to your phone save it with one and the area code also that solved my issue great phone by far +++++++

I am not sure on this one, but I think its because all your contact info is on the sim and not on the phone.

check the phone book entries...possible the names are appearing twice in the phonebook...or the format in which nos are saved could be diff from the format of numbers u get message ...eg : u might have stores only no and when u recieve msg it might come with a 0 or country code too

Go to your 'contacts' and pull up the menu, select 'SIM Phone Book', select 'Copy All To Contacts'. After this the SMS should be updated with the contact info.

You should flash ur mobile phone by softwere like HWK,JAF,UFS etc.If u are not a mobile technician then its better to go at ur nearset NOKIA customer care.If u are saticfyd by my solution then vote me i'll help u with more jumpering solution. Thank you for contact me.

there may be promlem in ur contact setting so try this.....

go to contact option then open setting

there may be many options like contact view e.tc
u choose in these option "name and number"

Incoming phone number displays but not the name in
Some nokia set has this kind of problem as we dont store the names with '+91' . This problem can be solved if the no is saved with '+91'.

I have no caller id on my text messages or incoming calls
This is normal. T-Mobile does this. Unless the person is in your contact list it only says the number. There is no solution, because that is not a problem. They did this on purpose, I do not know why. But this is how it is.
