Contact names not showing on incoming calls

The problem here would be duplicate contacts. When a call comes it searches the number in the Phone and SIM and displays the name pointing to that. Here in your case I suppose the same contact with the same number would be entered twice ( SIM + Phone) and phone gets confused which name to display and it shows just the number instead of name.
To solve this what you can try is to disable the SIM contacts from displaying. To do that go to Menu>Contacts>Options>Settings>Contacts> Contacts to display - Select Phone Memory only.

If there's no software related issue, this must be problem with contacts. When a contact is saved multiple times, this happens. Check the specific number that's displayed only numbers and make sure you have only one saved contact with that number. This is usual when the same contact is saved on both the sim card and on the phone memory. In other words, duplicate contacts. Once one of the contact is deleted, you'll have no more problem.

This happens when two or more similar (saving one number with different names) contacts is saved on your phonebook, i.e. if you've saved my number on the sim card with a name and at the same time you have my number (same number) on your phone's memory, the caller id will not be displayed, you'll only see the "Incoming Call" or "Call". So I would suggest you to please check the phonebook and delete (keep only one per number) if there are multiple similar contacts saved on your phonebook.

You can also reset the phone to Factory default, in case there's no problem with your phonebook/contacts.

Some nokia set has this kind of problem as we dont store the names with '+91' . This problem can be solved if the no is saved with '+91'.

Check and see if your contacts have the country code added to the front of their mobile numbers.

E.g Samoa (00685) mobile number or (+685)
NZVF (0064) 21XXXXXXXX not 021XXXXXXXXXX

1) Problem in incoming call will be issue of network error, check with the operator service provider or try typing *#3370# for increase network receptionn but it will drain ur mobile charging

2) contact not displaying will be occur due to low memory problem but continue with restarting & keep backup of ur cause it will be helpful incase if they have not retrived by restart

3) You have duplicate entry saved in phone & also in sim card in that case phone dont shows name & shows only no. So please delete & try to keep contact only in sim or phone memory

Go to contacts option in menu and there selectmemory in use as both phone and sim... it will work... And don't forget to vote me...

Give your phone a format. Phone will be ok. For format press *#7370# it will ask you security code then press 12345., will take some time................ but don't forget to backup all your contacts and necessary files first.
