Hi
It's Lisa?
On an electric chainsaw there usually aren't what you would call oiling points.Somewhere, probably on the rear or one side of the case will be a bulb. It's also the screw on cap for the oil reservoir.
You fill that up with chainsaw bar oil,and as you use the saw every few minutes push the bulb down 2-3 times and it applies oil to the chain and gear in the case. The chain transfers the oil to the bar.
If this helps, would you rate my post please?
Thanks Bob
By the way,if you give me your model number I can look for a manual somewhere. No promises though,Ryobi likes to sell their manuals rather than download them.

How do I remove the clutch cover from a Ryobi chainsaw?

There are two nuts that hold the clutch cover and chain bar in place. The same nuts you would loosen to adjust the chain tension. Once those are taken off the cover, bar and chain can be removed.

We call that a duck bill vavle. You may have to buy fuel cap for it. The Home Depot should be able to help you with that. Or you can call Ryobi, I think they will sell you one direct

Oil not feeding to the chain guide on the electric ryobi chain saw

Remove the cover on the right hand side of the saw and remove the bar and chain. Clean the oil port holes in the bar and the body of the saw. They get clogged with sawdust and chips. Also clean the groove in the bar and the sprocket at the end of the bar. Always use proper chainsaw bar oil.

I bought a ryobi 14 inch electric chainsaw. Is

Use regular bar/chain oil available from home centers, hardware stores, and saw shops. Always keep the chain properly sharpened and tensioned so that you don't have to force the chain into the cut which causes motor overheating. If you need to make an 'under' cut, do so with the top of the bar--don't run the saw upside down. Good luck!

Need to know what kind of oil to put in ryobi chainsaw

If it is an electric chainsaw (not gas powered) then the only oil you need is chainsaw bar oil, which lubricates the chain and bar during use (self feeding system). This goes into the chamber at the top of the saw. You can buy chain/bar oil for chainsaws at any good hardware store or outdoor power equipment store. You can use any brand of chain bar oil, most are pretty good.

If it is a gas/petrol operated model, I will need to know the model number to advise on that.

What type of oil can i use for an electric chain saw? It's an 16" Eager ******.

I would use a high quality Bar and chain Lube, available at any saw shop, (My choice is Stihl) If you go other supplier make sure it has anti-sling properties, as this stuff is worth the difference in chain and bar life.
Next time you get some rub between your fingers and slower pull apart, and watch how it clings together, compare different brands and regular motor oil like this and you can tell a difference.
We used to watch how the oil would come off the bar while it was running, cheap stuff in drops and good stuff in what looked like tiny threads.
Thats when we had manual oilers and could pump it out.
Do not use used motor oil as no antisling properties and even on the can it says "used oil causes cancer" You do not want to be vaporizing this stuff and breathing it.
But check manual to be on safe side, but I wouldn't expect otherwise.
