How to wire a fan relay

A fan relay has 2 switches, a NC, normally closed switch
and a NO, normally open switch.
The relay has a coil that acts as an electromagnet and when energized with 24 volts from the thermostat will close the NO and open the NC switches.
The NO switch is the High speed , the NC switch goes to Low speed however as it is NC a temperature or time delay is what actually controls the low speed, low speed is the heat speed.
The NO switch in the fan relay goes directly to the High speed lead, this is the Cooling speed and the Fan On speed.
The 24 volt coil in the fan relay is wired to Green from the thermostat and Common 24 volt neutral leg.

Fisher Paykel RF175WDRX1. Why does the fridge beep when I open it?

check the thermostat setting for the compartment
it may not be set low enough so the alarm goes off when the compartment temperature reaches or exceeds that setting
some fridges have a system whereby if the door is open too long then it notifies the user to close the door

Temperature gauge goes up then down engine

Sounds like the thermostat is sticking, on warm up on lot of vehicle the gauge goes past normal and when the thermostat opens drops back. If it is going higher than normal, the thermostat is opening late. Needs changing before it stops opening altogether.

My temperature guage stays in the middle, is this ok?

Yes, the temperature gauge should normally stop in the middle, between the cold and hot points on the gauge. When the engine is cold the thermostat will be closed and will keep recirculating the coolant in the engine block until it warms up sufficiently. Then the temperature of the warm coolant will cause the thermostat to open the channel to the radiator to get rid of excess heat, which should stop the coolant from over heating. So the effect of the thermostat keeps the coolant at a fairly stable temperature. When the coolant runs low, it can't transfer enough heat to the radiator and the coolant and engine then over heats. Watch for radiator leaks under your car after you have been driving it. If the coolant goes low again fairly quickly you could have a leak in a hose or the radiator itself.

Blue thermostat light comes on after driving for 5 miles or so and stays on; after driving for 20 miles or so on occasion the oil pressure light comes on when car slows down and is idling.

when the thermostat in a beetle goes, it stays in the open position, so it could be you blue light is indicating a "cold system",change the thermostat.
the oil light will come on if low on oil or you have a low pressure, try using 10/40 semi synthetic oil.and mloyslip.if no improvement you will need to renew the oil pump.
