My lg kp500 is displaying emergency calls only on the front screen. It has deleted my service provider and i cannot make calls or have any signal. Rang my service provider they said my number and account still active and to put my sim in another phone which i did and it works fine, so it is my phone. Have not changed any of my security settings for it to do this. Can you suggest anything??

Emergency calls only usually means the company has cut off your service, usually for non-payment. If it was another problem, like no signal, you wouldn't be able to even make emergency calls. Call your provider.

The puk code is provided by the service provider. It comes with your sim card. So all you have to do is just call the customer care center of your service provider and ask for the puk code of your number. They should be able to provide you with it.
Good Luck
Even though the cell phone does not require a PIN code to unlock the cell phone, the cell phone may be locked to a particular cell phone service provider and it won't accept a SIM card from a different phone service provider.

when your mobile's antennae does not recieve teh signal from the tower, you see this message. if you are just far from the signal, you'll see the emergency only, now you can call the emergency number 112 only,
when you are even not in the reach of emergency signal, it displays No Service.
you can use the Emergency signal when you are in need, you have to call 112 and an agents picks your call and helps you regarding police, fire, or you can ask them to inform some matter to others in urgency..
If you need the PUK ( Personal Unblocking Key ) for your phone, you will have to contact your mobile phone service provider.
PUK code is related to the SIM card you are using. So, kindly call the Customer support of your mobile service provider and they will provide you with the PUK code.
Also, entering a wrong PUK code ten times in a row disables the SIM card permanently. So, please be careful while entering the PUK code.
You may find your phone showing Emergency call instead of the service provider's name. This happens when you are not getting proper signal / reception from the service provider. Restarting the phone will resolve this issue.
PIN and PUK are the domain of the service provider. Please contact the helpline of your service provider and get a new PUK. Default PUK is 00000000 (eight zeros) unless you changed it. In that case the helline will help you.
