Question about Garmin Astro Combo Unit GPS Receiver
Signal strength from sender units is only good for 30-50 meters. Should be good for 1000+meters.All batteries and antennas appear ok.
Garmin, it seems to me that your techs should be able to correct this problem by mounting the antenna in such a way as to place it in a fixed position where it could not be turned internally and cause damage to the unit with a force as small as hand tightening.

The antennas on the dog sender units had been over tightened, which resulted in the units internals being twisted and damaging the batterywiring. An easy fix once the units were disassembled and a lesson to be learnt: DON'T OVERTIGHTEN THE ANTENNAS ON THE DOG SENDER UNITS.

My astro 220 quits communicating with my dc 20 collar at about 145 yards. It was working fine what might be the problem?
