The sound will shut off for a while and then sometimes when it comes back on the tv will shut off. After it has been off for a while a box will come on the sceen and say four minutes remaining and then it will say five minutes reamaining and then after a while it will either shut off or the sound will start back up.

If you have any type of converter on the tv unplug both tv and box and let sit for about 5 minutes and plug it back in

Check that you have not got an auto power off setting on. Check that the aerial connections are good. That the signal is strong from the stations it is picking up. Weak signals can cause the box to shut down.
It the box is very hot when it shuts down, you might have a fault on it.

From what you describe, a solder joint has probably cracked loose in a power supply or deflection circuit, which is quite common.
