If none of the lights light up on the top of the remote when you press/release Select, check to make sure the batteries are placed correctly in the remote. If they are, you may need to readdress the remote to the receiver. I have provided instructions on how to program the remote to your receiver. I hope this helps.

Anyone know why my LG tv has the input menu stuck on the screen. it is not the remote and the buttons are not stuck.

Try unplugging the TV from the power source for several seconds. Also, pour new batteries in your remote.

How to program remote to dish? 4.4 IR/UHF PRO

Your question is not clear as to whether you want to program the remote to your TV or the DISH receiver. Here are steps for both if this has not been resolved already!

DISH RECEIVER::
1. Go to the room where the receiver is located. With the remote for THAT room press menu twice. (This will be the remote with the Green 1 on the bottom.)
2. Press and release the SAT button on the top left of the remote
3. Press and release the black and red record button 3 times
4. Look that the number next to remote address (secondary Remote address) has changed.
5. If not, start again.

TV::
1. Hold down the Clear TV button until all lights at the top of the remote light up
2. Press the red TV POWER button
3. Press and release the up arrow on the remote about once a second until the tv turns off.
4. When it turns off, press the # (Pound) button
5. Try powering the tv on/off, and try the volume. If one or more of these functions do not work, start over at step 1 again.

No remote will work with the tv - at the same time the tv remote and our dish tv remote stopped working. Put new batteries in both and still no luck. What can I try next?

We are sorry to hear that both remotes have stopped working, we would be happy to help get your DISH Network remote up and running. The first thing we want to check is if the issue isaffecting multiple buttons on the remote. If you are having the issue withspecific buttons then the remote needs to be replaced, give us a call at1-800-333-DISH (3474). Check if you are using the correct remote for thecorrect room, there may be a number on the bottom of the remote that tells youwhich room the remote should be in. If UHF, check that your UHF remote antennais securely connected to the remote antennaport on the back of your receiver and that the antenna is upright. Atthis point we want to re-address your remote, if issue is with the TV2 remote, bring your TV2 remote with you to TV1. Access "System Info" at TV1.Using the remote that is NOT functioning, press and release the "SAT" button then press andrelease the "Record" button onremote control. If the batteries in the remote have not been replaced in thepast 60 days, replace the batteries. Reset the receiver by unplugging it for 10seconds then plug it back in then re-address the remote again. If the remote isstill not working at this point then it may be an interference issue. If youare having issues with an infrared remote, find interference source(backlighting or power save mode on LCD TV's, fluorescent lighting in room, ordirect sunlight), eliminate, or convert remote to UHF. If you are having issueswith an UHF remote, find interference source (component (VCR, DVD Player, etc.)near DISH receiver), adjust UHF antenna, or distance UHF antenna from receiverusing coax cable/barrel connector. If the remote is still not working after allthese steps we need to have your remote replaced.

We really hope all these steps resolve your remote issue. Thank you for being avalued DISH Network customer!

My remote is not responding to the 2nd tv satellite... but it does work for the tv

Hello walker3putt, my name is Michael Hurst with DISH Network. Is this remote an IR or UHF? There are ways of reprogramming the remote to the receiver. If this is and IR remote for an independent receiver then you can try pulling the smartcard out and System Information will come up on the TV. Look at the Remote Address on the TV and write down the number. Then Hold Sat until all lights on top of remote light up. Let go of the Sat button and pick a number from 1-15 and then press # and Record. Your remote address should change. If there isn't a smartcard in the receiver then try the menu button on the front of the receiver. If this is a secondary remote and is UHF you will have to take remote 2 to the room where the receiver is located and follow the same steps.

Remote buttons light up, nothing happens , wont run the reciever

Phil with DISH Network here and happy to help! Here are some steps thatshould fix your remote:

Step 1:
Check if the issue is with a specific button. If its just one button that isnot working we need to have the remote replaced.

Step 2:
We want to make sure that the correct remote is being used for the TV in this room. Use remotekey (Green "1" or Blue "2 UHF") to confirm itis being used in the correct room. TV1 is located in the same room as your DISHreceiver.

Step 3:
If UHF, check that your UHF remote antenna is securely connected to the "RemoteAntenna" port on the back of your receiver and that the antenna isupright.

Step 4:
If issue is with the TV2 remote, bring your TV2 remote with you to TV1. Access "SystemInfo" at TV1, using the remote that is NOT functioning, pressand release the "SAT" button then press and release the RECORDbutton on remote control.

Step 5:
If the batteries in the remote have not been replaced in the past 60 days, replace the batteries. If the remote doesn't light up after replacingbatteries, have the remote replaced.

Step 6:
Unplug the receiver for 10 seconds then repeat step 4.

Step 7:
If the remote is still not working the issue may be caused by IR interference.Find interference source (back lighting or power save mode on LCD TV's,fluorescent lighting in room, or direct sunlight). Getting rid of theinterference should fix it.
If you are using a UHF remote, find interference source (component(s)(VCR, DVD Player, etc.) near DISH receiver), adjust UHF antenna, or distance UHF antenna from receiver using coax cable.

After completing all these steps if you're remote is not working give us a callfor additional troubleshooting at 1-800-333-DISH (3474).

Thanks for being a value DISH Network customer!
