The will not turn on

my insignia tv will not turn on . i unplug it for 30 sec. and plug back and hit the remote, it turn on for a sec. and back off. what should i do?
Open the back cover and check the Power Supply board. If you find some puffed capacitors, just replace them.

The easiest way is to reset the TV. There are 3 possible resets for this TV. press and hold Action and Power on the TV until self check appears-- then unplug the TV wait for 30 sec. then plug back in. The reset should take care of any channel lock/ game guard settings
Also Volume down on unit and sleep on remote. Same process wait for self check then unplug for 30 sec. plug back in and turn on.
Last Volume down on the unit and RH-Split on the remote-- same process

Panasonic sets need to be reset to clear the v-chip settings. To do this, put it in standby mode, then press the POWER and ACTION buttons at the same time and then turn the power off. The set should reset to the factory defaults, and reset the v-chip
