If you are still able to get into your mail, go there right away, and change your password.

If you can no longer get into your account, you need to contact Yahoo here and send a mail describing your problem to account-security:

[email protected].

If this doesn't help, call Yahoo: 1-408-349-1572 and then explain to customer service what happened. They will ask you to do certain things and then they compare your original informatio with the changed information. You should get your account back and all your information within 24 hours.

You should also try to figure out how they got your password. If you really don't think you slipped it to anyone, you may have a keylogger on your computer. A keylogger is a malware program that tracks and transmits what keys you press, and that is how they get your passwords. If you think you may have a keylogger, I'll tell you how to get rid of it, but first go to a clean machine, and go change any banking passwords you may have which may be compromised and any other email addresses (including the Yahoo...don't change it from the compromised computer if you think it may have a keylogger on it)

You should run numerous scans to make certain your computer is clean before entering new passwords. First, run a program called malewarebytes. You can get it here: http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php Download it, install it, update it with latest definitions, and then scan your operating system drive (if you have other hard drives you can scan the rest later, first clean the OS drive)

Then run an online scan with Trend Micro's Housecall program. (I don't know how it does with keyloggers, but it's great at detecting rootkits so I always recommend this) You can do this here: http://housecall.trendmicro.com/
When you open a browser to run an online scan, do it like this: right click on the IE icon, and select run as administrator. This will avoid security issues with your other antivirus software.

After you are certain your computer is clean, pick new, great, passwords. Passwords are more important that people give them time for. Here is how to pick a great password that you can also remember: http://www.wikihow.com/Choose-a-Secure-Password (these are not all great, but I like #6 and #7...)

Another good password article: http://www.uxbooth.com/blog/password-usability/

If you need something better you can google it. I myself have one password for all my "nothing" websites...sites I shop on, or sites that just have information and stuff, nothing that's really personal information or I don't have a profile or banking information (or debit card information) on...I have different unique ones for banking sites and email sites (if they get your email password, theoretically they can get any password, right?)

So anyway, that's a lot of information. If this post has helped you, please remember to vote for it...if you need more help, just ask in the add comment section.

I need help always falsely reported by Yahoo Turn the my accounts are Now I do not know what to do My account lies approximately 10 utility reports Yahoo has been disabled

The reports (e.g. of misuse, abuse, etc.) of your account may be due to someone else (e.g. a spammer) using your account to do unacceptable things. Usually, when it happens, the owner of the account would quickly change the passwords, get rid of any virus, etc., from the computer. If that is not done, your account can still be used by those "bad guys" to continue to do "bad things".

When your account is disabled, and you've already tried to get Yahoo to reinstate it, and they've refused, you may as well accept it (loosing all your info stored in the account), and start a new account. Just make sure it doesn't happen again.

How to change password for yahoo account?

Hi,

Your yahoo password is your key to all of the services offered by yahoo, including the popular mail and messenger features. To protect your personal information and and correspondence, it is important to choose a password that is difficult for someone else to guess. If you feel that you need a stronger password, or if you have reason to believe someone else may have your current password, it is a good idea to change your current yahoo password.

So, Please follow the below step for change your yahoo password.

Step 1: Sign in your yahoo account.

Step 2: Click your name, and click "Account info." (Note that you can also access "Account info" by clicking your name at the top of other yahoo pages while you are signed in.)

Step 3: Click "Change your password"

Step 4: Enter your current password and your new password, and confirm your new password.

Step 5: Click "Save".

A good password should not contain common words or words that are easy to guess. For instance, names of family members or pets are not good choices. Yahoo passwords are case sensitive and yahoo recommends users create passwords that use both lowercase and uppercase letters. Add numbers to your password to make it harder to guess.

Thanking you

Someone has taken over my yahoo e- mail .

I hope you mean that your Yahoo mail account has been hacked. If this is the case, just open your account profile and change your password - to something unique and something you will remember. Notify your friends (in your yahoo contact list) that you were hacked and to not open any attachments or links from strange emails from your address.

If someone has stolen your yahoo account, and has change your password, and you no longer have access, you will need to notify yahoo customer service. I believe that you can report this to [email protected]

Provide yahoo as much information as possible, your user name, your last access to the account, and other email accounts listed (for backup security purposes). Do not list any passwords or dates of birth or any other security information.

My facebook account..it's GONE????pLease heLp me..

hi..

You can Reactivate Account. Please submit this form to Facebook

looks like you got a serious issue. As far as i understand from the error message you quoted here, your account has been deactivated somehow.

Did you enter correct user name and password.? Please check that no Caps Lock are on while typing the user name and password. If you forgot correct log in informations, please click here to restore
If you provided correct log in informations and yet you can't access your account, then your account may have been deactivated

This is possible in three ways
  • The server which holds your account informations may got data corruption and so access to your account could not be established.
Possibility for this to occur is very very slim as all servers have tight backup options.

  • The other possibility is rather more creepy than previous one.
Just imagine, if someone got access to your account ( by user name & Password) and intentionally or you accidentally requested facebook.com to discontinue this account. If someone requests to discontinue his account, the server will delete the account in no time. Check procedures for discontinue an account at FAQ

This option has more chance to occur, as more and more people tries to hack in to others accounts and disturb its normal functionality.

  • Abuse or fraud usage of Account
If you abuse your account or you intended to use illegally , then facebook will deactivate your account. Please Read Facebook policy about Abuse of Account

If somehow , your account is deleted, there are some ways to restore back. To My opinion, your chances are slim, though you may ask the www.facebook.com to retrieve your account back. Please Click here to Reactivate Account

thank You

My address [email protected] has been hacked/hijacked and someone is sending out messages with my address so can we kill this adress and open another. please advise Thomas D. Buckley

As you are saying that your address is hacked i.e. you yourself cannot open and go inside the account in this case you shall open one new account. and ask all your friends using yahoo account to report abuse on that particular account. Once 12-15 users have reported abuse to an account the account will be disabled by yahoo. Yes you should open one new account and mind that you should use atleast one wild card character and a non dictionery password so that it cannot be hacked in.

My email address is [email protected] . Please tell me why my account is blocked?

Your account may be blocked by yahoo for 2 reasons.

1. Your account has been spamming or
2. Your account has been reported for abuse.

If you are not the one doing those spamming or abuse, then your account might got compromised. It is advised that you get a new yahoo account since your blocked yahoo address was already harvested by spammers or spambots and was able to used it to send out abuse or spam. Make sure you secure your new account by using a strong password.
