I need to do a System Restore on a Gateway 7322 Laptop

How do I do a System Restore to factory settings without a disk on a Gateway 7322 Laptop with Windows XP?

My computer freezes and restarts halfway through loading Windows XP. Then it asks if I would like to start windows in Safe Mode, Safe Mode with Networking, Safe Mode with Command Prompt, Last Known Good Config., or Start Windows Normally. Every choice provides the same outcome, windows begins to load, then freezes and I am prompted with the same screen again.

I set a password to my laptop and I can't remember what it is, how can I get to use my laptop again??

@pinkruthpink

The quickiest way to reset your password is to run System Recovery (aside paying someone from a local computer store and use a software to reset it). Gateway laptops have a built-in recovery mode on the system wherein you can restore the computer to factory default without using a restore discs. (please note that this will erase everything). The hotkey for the recovery is the ALT+F10 key. After you press the power button, you need to hold ALT key and then simultaneously press the F10 key.. Once the recovery menu has loaded, click Restore to Factory Default Settings.

Good luck

I have a Gateway MT-6451 laptop and want to restore to factory condition. I lost the disk. Is there anyway I can perform this without the disk? Or a way to purchase the disk?

The disc is critical when you want to go back to factory settings, check out www.ebay.com there are sellers that provide a lot of different restore discs, you might get lucky. The other option is check www.gateway.com see if the have the supporting disc.

How do i set my toshiba laptop back to manufacturing settings without losing my windows 7 home premium

Unless you did a full system backup when after you loaded Windows 7 Home Premium, you will not be able to restore the system back to factory settings without losing W7HP.
Why are you trying to restore the laptop back to factory settings?

How do you reset to factory settings on a Dell Latitude D510 laptop without discs?

Only way to do this would be to do a "system restore" without disks you can only hope you have restore points setup... run system restore from control panel and find out..

if no restore points contact dell for a restore disk.. remember the system restore without disks will not remove viruses or other harmful files..
