Hi,
it could be something is slightly loosen up in there. to check your load up time, go to start then right-click on my computer. click on properties. there you will see advance system settings, click on its tab.on the startup and recovery category, click on settings. there you will see how much time does your pc takes to load. if you can open up your pc and make sure that everything is hooked up properly, then switch it back on.

My system with asus p5n73-am mother board shows BSOD

if nothing else is affected and everything runs fine after this then i would be careful on what you install because this could become a serious issue this happens because the computer notices an error on startup then either fixes itself or ignores the problem write back if the problem worsens

It shows on startup ''a new cpu is inserted in your system'' with asus m2n68-am plus. its brand new.

You might have a combination of several small problems. I would like to know whick processor you have installed. But Here is how to get started:

1) Open the case (after unplugging the PSU, not just turning it off). Use a wrist grounding strap or touch the bare metal on the case frequently.

2) Pull the jumper off the 1st two pins of the RTC. Place them on the 2nd two pins for about 10 seconds. Pull them back off and place them back on the 1st two.

Plug the PSU back up and turn on the computer, pressing delete button when the fans come on.

3) This will enter the set up. Check to see if the correct CPU information is listed now. If not, the bios is not old enought to recognize the CPU.

4) activate Asus Update. Go to the site and update your bios from the site. You will have to clear the bios again after the new bios is updated.

5) at that time the motherboard's bios should recognize the CPU. This happens frequently with Asus boards particularly where you have an AM2 board or AM2+ and you are installing a Phenom AMD PCU.

Let me know how this works. There are other things we can do. This is the only thing about Asus boards I dislike.

Just bought an asus m2n68-am Se2 mother board and the system will not turn on

Hi ashwort4,

There could be many things that could stop the board from turning on, Determining if it works is like detective work. What I do, is take everything off the board to start. Then add the minimum to start a board to see if it will start. That's one drive (cd or otherwise) the CPU , and one bank of memory. (that's not a required eliminate, but it helps avoid beep codes) Also, make sure you have your pin's set on the board absolutely correct, or that could be your problem to begin with. Now, you should get the power supply on, and the cpu. If those don't power up, it's then either one of the five elements. The CPU, Power supply, Ram, Drive, or motherboard2.gif. The next step is to replace each one of the first four to see if you get any change. If no change, then I usually get another board that I can test the first four, and make sure that they work. After that, then I say you have a DOA Board.

Good Luck,

Mark

The download page for your board is here. There are several versions of the board, so you'll need to pick the right one. Then select your operating system and you will find your drivers.
