Check ytour idler pulley, that keeps tension on your belts. they usually go after a certain amount of miles from the stress on the
bearings.

Constant high pitch noise coming from pulley after changing serpentine belt 2006 gmc envoy

The belt tensioner on right side of engine, if you are facing vehicle, just below the altenator, is probably the problem. Mine made the noise all the time, bought part at Autozone, 18.99, its fixed, no noise.

My new blet wont stay tight on my 98 gmc envoy

I guess my first question would be are you sure you got the right replacement belt ? And are all of the pulleys on straight ?
Is the belt slipping, or coming off ?
Was the original belt giving you problems ?

The pulley that the fan is connected to and which the belt goes around is loose and making noise. Is it a bearing?

If the pulley is loose and the bolts are tight, chances are the water pump bearing has failed.

I have an 06 GMC Envoy and it won't start (sometimes). Other times it will start fine. I think it may be a weak battery. Should I just buy a new battery and try it or should I be concerned about something...

{: ) There are shops that has these gadget to test the battery and charging systems at the same time. As of the time being, you can clean battery terminals for presence of corrosion, to have that clean tight connection to the battery. Check also your engine belt.
If you have a reliable digital multimeter, you can measure the charging voltage at the battery terminals when the engine starts to run. Should be around 13.8 to 14.5 volts depending on the loads that are on.
If the charging system seems to be okay, and you go for that new battery, check and observe again. If the same problem, you should have your vehicle tested for abnormal battery parasitic draw.

High pitch whistling noise in engine compartment of 2005 envoy

There may be a small hole or cut in a vacum line or possibly just loose. Also make sure the air filter box and the big hose to it are secure and clamps etc are tight. Pulleys and belts can make a high pitch sound also.

Engine whinning

I had the same problem on my 2005 Envoy. Turned out to be the idler pulley bearing. It is just a pulley the belt rides on. The bearing in the pulley was what was making the high pitched whine. I replaced the bearing, and the noise went away.
