Is it a car, minivan, or truck? What model? What year? Is it front wheel drive, rear wheel drive, or 4 wheel drive?

You probably need to replace the CV joint in the left wheel assembly (and maybe the one on the other side as well). Have the alignment checked as well. Hope this helps!

In the right rear I get a rubbing noise when making a left turn or during rapid acceleration.

If the tire started coming apart it could have hit the brake dust cover and bent it.

The car makes a howling noise while driving it

well did the noise start after the tires were rotated?could be choppy tires,,,if not ,i strongly think it sounds like a bad wheel bearing,,,,if you drive and while its making the noise turn left and right quick and see if the noise gets louder and which way turning makes it louder,,if you turn leftand it gets louder its usually the right wheels bearing as you are putting load on it, if it makes the noise louder while turning right its the left wheel bearing,,,got it

Do you have a Grand Cherokee with full time all wheel drive? If so the viscous coupler in the transfer case could be at fault. They fail 100% of the time in those jeeps at around 100,000 miles + or -. In tight turns after the t-case warms up the Jeep will make an awful howling noise and the tires will usually chirp on pavement. The only fix is an updated viscous coupler or a new t-case.
