SOURCE: My panasonic cs-2470kr split air con is leaking

Find the drain on the outside of the house (should be located near the condesing unit outside) it is pvc and as I said it should be near the outside unit. This pvc will be sticking out of the house to which you can take a wet/dry vac and hold it to the end of this pvc pipe and it should remove the algae that is clogging up your drain pan. This is the easiest way to unclog an a/c unit. Going to the inside of the furnance can be done using a wet/dry vac to remove the debris in the drain pan however, the clog could possibly be in the a/c condensate drain trap that is why I suggest going to the drain on the outside of the house and removing the clogg that direction.

Good luck on repairs.

I have a split-type aircon (brand: LG) with remote control. It has power and display when i put on batteries. but the aircon unit does not respond to the remote control. what do i do to fix this?...

Lift the front cover of the air con, on the right hand side there is a button or a hole which has a button inside which you can press which is for manual starting of the air con. If this works, then you will know the remote is faulty, if it still doesn't work, check that the isolator switch for the air con hasn't been turned off. There will be 9Or should be) a switch outside next to the air con outdoor unit to switch power on / off to the air con. If not, there should be switch inside the meter box at the front of the house. Make sure they are switched on.

I cannot find the swing button on my remote for my LG LS-D2461HS

The swing button is usually on the right side of the remote and has three little arrows pointing toward an arc or half circle line with arrow up and down. If you press this once it will go on auto swing, you can wait for the louvre to get to the right position and then press it again to stop in that position. You can also on some models change the left/right airflow direction in the same manner or manually direct the airflow to one side. If all fails, you can gently manually position the louvre up or down.
