the condenser fan will start as soon as the compressor turns on( that is the outside unit)
the inside fan will run regardless if the compressor is running or not

there is a problem in where the unit is installed ( too high) ,the setting for the temperature is too low( recommend 25 C, the doors and windows are open or the unit is too small for the room
the thermostat is in front of the evaporator and reads the incoming air temp so hard wiring a thermostat some where else will not turn the fan off
maybe your customer should have the ac unit operation explained
of course if it is a plug in power lead , it could always be turned off at the wall or if hard wired there should be a circuit breaker in the hard wired wire

I do not know if it has been permanently damaged; but what you described sounds like you will either have to take it to have it repaired or buy a new one.

You have to try resetting the system. First turn the breaker off for the condenser and wait about 20 seconds. After you turn it back on the system should reset.

Check the AC units condensation drain, it is likely plugged. When an AC is running it dehumidifies the air as it passes through the evaporator core, this creates a lot of liquid water, it must be drained off.

Taking apart the hand held remote won't serve any real purpose as none of the parts inside are replaceable. Since you have 3 different units, with 3 different hand held remote. I'm wondering, if perhaps, you're using the wrong remote on that one unit. As each one has a different remote code.
In addition, I have learned from experience, that if the display screen on the hand held works, the problem is not in the hand held. Now, that's not to say, Operator Error can't play a role in it. But, most times, it's the receiver in the unit, that may be causing the problem. Or the hand held is to far away or something is blocking the signal in between.

Almost every appliance we sell, has a radio frequency remote control. The most problems we incur is with weak or dead batteries or operator error. The problem with batteries is that you don't now how long they sat in a warehouse, before making to a retail outlet and then how long they sat on the shelves there, before they were sold. They may have enough power to activate the handheld remote, but not enough to transmit a strong signal. So, check the strength of the new batteries you installed.

Hope this helps and thanks for choosing FixYa.

As a refrigeration tech, I see more of them than I should. LG, Samsung, and some Kenmore units have this problem. I have tried some "leak stop" on a couple that the factory denied a free part and the customer couldn't afford to repair with pretty good luck.

According to the manual, there should be a label on the side of the unit. The manual is free here:
