I have a 2002 Chrysler Town & Country 3.8 litre. For the past two years we have had to have the air conditioner repaired under warranty. Unfortunately, it is doing the same thing but no longer under warranty. It has worked fine up until a couple of days ago when it started making vibrating noises and more than the normal amount of condensation on the ground. Now, it comes on and runs normal, but blows hot air. We called Auto Zone and the guy said it didn't sound like the clutch fan and probably needs to be charged. So we bought a can of freon, but when we hook it up, the guage goes straight to red. The instructions say that if the guage goes to red, it means it has a mechanical issue. But what else could it be? Thank you!

this problem is typically fixed by replacing the air bag clock spring, located below the air bag itself. Chrysler offered a lifetime warranty extension for certain 1996-1998 minivans with this problem. contact a Chrysler dealer and give them your vehicle identification number to see if yours falls under this warranty.
The fuse box is located under the hood, drivers side ,under a cover marked IPM FUSE & RELAY CENTER open the cover with your fingers. There is a diagram under the cover with location of all the fuses .
Fuse blown , poor ground, or power wire to dash module disconnected--Solution 1/check &/or replace fuse 2/ check ground wire to module 3/ Check to see if wire disconnected--very hard to work under a dash board. may have to get technician.
