How do I calibrate the touch screen on my Baby Lock EMP6 embroidery machine?

The owner's manual "should" have instructions. Otherwise, try search for:

Make Model calibrate

or contact a Babylock dealer

Reset button on Esante ESe2

1. Turn the power on while holding down the [Start/Stop], [Reverse stitch], and [Needle position] buttons.

2. Touch the positions marked with crosses (+) on the touch panel in order from 1 to 5.

NOTE

• Setting is successful if a single beep sounds when "5" is pressed.

• An error has occurred if two beeps sound when "5" is pressed. Repeat from position 1 again.
3. Turn the power off and then on again. Check that the screen display matches the positions on the touch panel

Touch Screen in my Baby Lock Ensante is off to the right.

Did you try touching the screen and while holding your finger on the screen, turn the main power switch off and back on?

You need to go to a BabyLock dealer to insure your warranty. They will have the best price for parts and you need to ask them if they have repaired this problem before and how much does it usually cost for the parts.

I have had a BL Ellegante for about 5 years and have never had a problem.

If you cannot locate your warranty information, you can contact BL- there is a website and a toll-free number for customer service. They have always answered my questions promptly and with courteously.

Touch screen

The most likely culprit is the cable of the touchscreen. If the cable is about 1/2" wide and yellowish brown in color, take it to your dealer and ask them to calibrate the touch screen for you. The screen can be calibrated by a trained technician without having the ability to use the screen for the adjustment.
If the cable is about 1" wide and green, save up your money and have your dealer replace your touch screen. Those cables are very short and if you flex the end prior to getting your hand in to disconnect it you can very easily damage the cable and the touch screen must be replaced. Also, if the cable was pulled taught during removal and pulled out of the connector on the main ckt board prior to releasing the locking device the contacts on the ribbon may have been damaged.
Just be honest with your dealer and tell them that you can't afford a costly repair at this time and you need to know what is wrong.
I don't know what your dealer will charge for labor, but I can say that a new touch screen costs about 5 times what a new bobbin winder does. Removing the covers of modern machines on your own can end up causing your repair cost to skyrocket. Also, once the pin in the bobbin winder has moved in the frame, it will most likely move again and the winder should be replaced to avoid recurrence.
