Here are the things you should look at.
- What IP address? Same octet as the router? 192.168.1.xxx or different, 169.254.xx.xx (This one means you are not connected at all.
- When you right click on My Network Places and choose properties, then right click on your connection, either LAN or WIFI, and choose properties, is the IP address populated with an existing octet? It should be on obtaining address automatically.
- Go to CMD prompt where you typed IPConfig. Type ipconfig /release all
- Go to CMD prompt and type netsh winsock reset
If this works, Great!
If not, send a comment back with what router brand, computer brand and any new developments.
