I would guess the dark areas are from bad lamp strips, the vertical lines could be a bad t-con board or a bad panel but the 2 most likely are not connected

With some DSLR cameras, a normally clear LCD screen is used to display Auto Focus area brackets in the viewfinder. When power is supplied to the screen, you may sometimes see a faint vertical line appear in your viewfinder. This is perfectly normal and is just part of the finely etched circuitry used to power and illuminate the liquid crystal segments of the AF area brackets.
You have to clean the scanner.Open the dock feeder area,and make sure the scanner glass is clean sometimes the glass look clean but just a smaal dot on the glass can cause a line.Clean also the white area above the scanner.The white area above the scanner help for shading operation of the mchine.Make sure you clean with a sullotion that can remove ink but not damage plastic.

First things First
1) If you can or have another monitor try and see if the problem persist.
2) RMS the monitor if you keep these problem in these particular monitor.
3) usually these, problems, its cause by a bad capacitor in the monitor motherboard, or resistor.
4) it is best to return the monitor.
