Vga is your video driver. Usually if you have windows updates enabled it will find the best driver for your video card/ chip. If you need to manually install; find out what video card is installed by going into device manager and click on display adapters and it will tell you what make you have and then click on the properties and click on driver details and it will tell you how old the driver is. 1. Take off the Caps Lock. 2. go to Google or your favorite search engine and type in the freaking model number and the word driver next to that number. 3. Download the driver from the first page that is listed.
I'd suggest ring back Sony support and tell them that your OS is Windows 7 - not Vista. Therefore, you need the upgraded VGA driver because the Vista driver is incompatible with Windows 7. Hope it all goes well. If my suggestion works for you, please do rate me. Thanks
Standard drivers are installed by default when you install OS. You need to check your laptop manufacturers website for exact your model (usually you've got the sticker with a model number at it's bottom). If there is no model number you see anywhere on your laptop you've to use special software like Everest to find out what hardware are you using. When you find exact models web-page it has all the drivers for your laptop including VGA
