Your MP3 player is in INTRO mode. To change this, play a song and press the MODE button (button on the side of the player). Then select PLAY MODE from the options. Then select NORMAL. Or whichever option on that menu that pleases you. Just be sure not to choose INTRO again. :D

Songs only play for 10 seconds then the next song comes on
Might be a setting that needs changing. Some have shuffle, repeat, play in order etc. Some have an intro setting that plays a few seconds and goes to the next to do the same. Maybe this is the cause.

Try converting the songs into a different format because the format that the song is in might not completely be played on the ipod. Right click on the song and click on convert to mp3. Then try transferring the mp3 format song onto the ipod and it should play right then.

you should check the settings on the mp3 player. I remember that many mp3 players have a setting called play the first 10 seconds of every music. Anyway check the similar setting on your mp3. Goodluck!

if you are using ROCBOX go to settings./ play back settings..enable party mode/replaygain/crossfade...its playing like all intros......if this is straight iriver firmware you can try settings and look in playback setting also
