I'm trying to photocopy a book on a canon imagerunner 5075 without copying one page at a time and flipping the book around. Is there a way where the copier scans the right page and then scans the left page...

Hi Kim,
there are a couple of easy ways to tackle this problem. you have a book that when the spline is opened exposes 2 pages to the glass for the possibility of copying. What YOU need to determine is whether or not you want page 1 to ouput seperately from page 2, or , would you like page one to be on one side and page 2 to be on the second side. In other words auto duplex. That decision determines which feature you will use. I will walk you thru both. I realize you want the copier to scan the first page and then scan the second without you having to move the book around. I'm thinking you would be happy if the copier did that very thing and you wound up with a 2 sided copy with page 1 on the front and page 2 on the back. Here we go. Fom the main copy display locate the 2 sided button and select it. Select "book 2 sided" and follow the prompts. You could actually copy the entire book this way and when you are thru press "done" and here comes the avalanche!
If you want the images 1 sided on seperate sheets (not sure why) you can select "special features" from the display in the lower right corner and select "2 page seperation". same drill.

I just bought a acer net book, I have a regular laptop with cd-rom drive, howcan I load pograms to the net book. I also have a cable to connect the two machines.

Download the installers for the programs in your laptop (or copy the content of the cd's) then copy these files on an USB stick. Now plug the stick in the Acer and launch the installer = the program will be installed there.

Conversion from old software to new

Are the letter PS stand for PhotoShop or PrintShop? I guess they stand for PrintShop, which is a amateur page layout program. The file format for this kind of programs is proprietary, which means, you cannot safely convert to another format, like in industry standard programs. If you have the program installed, I may suggest three paths:
1) Copy the pages ONE by ONE and paste in another program like MS Publisher, Adobe PageMaker, Quark, InDesign.
2) Convert the whole document to PDF, using one of several free utilities available on the internet. PDF is the de facto standard, and can be read in ANY computer, regardless of the operating system.
Once in PDF format, it can be transferable to any other page layout program.
3) If the program has the capability of saving the book in HTML format (the one used by web pages) you can save in this format to further work in any page layout program.

Want to install Quick verse 7 on Vista

the Quick verse 7 was made only for 95 98 2000 and XP but you can try this method on how to install the QV 7 on winXP sp3

"Install QuickVerse Essentials version 7 on WinXP w/sp3

Place the QuickVerse version 7 Essentials CD into optical drive & close tray. This begins the auto run / install process. (Please do not remove CD until right at the end!)

Installation menus appear. Accept the defaults and choose “Typical Installation” (85Mb)

Message box appears at the end of the installation: “QuickVerse installation has encountered a problem and needs to close” Choose “Don’t Send” The installation program exits.

Navigate to: Start Button / All Programs / Parsons / QuickVerse 7 / (from drop down list) find “QuickVerse 7.0” and right click on it. Select “Send To Desktop”

Click on the new QuickVerse 7.0 desktop icon to run the program.

Dialog Box appears, “The librarian datafile library.mdb not found etc…” Select “New” / "Open Book" dialog box appears click on “Close”

Now with QuickVerse 7.0 running go to File / Add Books. “Registration Guide – Introduction” box appears. Choose “Next” The path to the new collection to register should identify the optical drive (with the QuickVerse CD already inserted) Choose “Next”, “Next” and “Finish” ("Registering STEP Books" msg box appears)

Customize Option: select “No” (default) then “OK”

Go to File / Library management. “Library Management – Maintenance” box appears
The Left Hand (LH) pane shows:
Default Drive
QuickVerse Essentials

Highlight QV Essentials in the LH pane. The RH pane shows all the books present on the CD. I chose to install only the NRSV w/Apocrypha book. Drag and drop this book to the LH pane i.e. Default Drive.

“Transferring Book Files” msg box appears whilst the book is being copied from the CD to the hd.

Close the dialog, exit the program, remove the CD and you’re away…"

hope this helps./
