I have a Motorola Razr V3m and a Motorola s9 stereo headset. I can take calls on the headset but can't hear the MP3 music that's stored on the phone as well.

    Motorola S9 Bluetooth Headset:

The factory original, Motorola S9 Bluetooth headset, Motorola
98801, is a compact lightweight solution that allows you to take calls
and listen to music wirelessly. The S9 Motorola Bluetooth headset
features small earbuds, only 1.3 cm and provides 6 hrs of playing time.

The S9 Motorola Bluetooth headset features call and music
multifunction control buttons. The Motorola Bluetooth S9 headset
automatically pauses music when an incoming call is received and then
    resumes once call has ended.

The Motorola S9 Bluetooth headset works with Bluetooth
stereo phones and devices equipped with TEN technology naviPlay
    adapter, such as iPod.

or Bluetooth Adapter for iPod is required for stereo listening.

Motorola S9 headset plays music in one ear

I had the same problem with a Samsung phone. There are two ways of fixing this; First, you can remove the S9 profile from your phone's bluetooth list, and then add it again, going through pairing and entering 0000 on your phone when asked for the code.
Alternatively, you might try pressing the "play" button on the right earpiece on the Motorola S9. This is supposed to kick it into the A2DP stereo mode for music listening.
Good luck.
And get a copy of the manual from the Motorola web site at http://direct.motorola.com/ens/s9/Headset_Home.asp I found this very handy for checking what the little flashing lights mean. When you get stereo reception, the little LED in the middle of the headset flashes green, not the usual blue and red and purple for voice calls.
In case you didn't know, as a phone headset, with the microphone activated, you only get sound in your left ear, and the light flashes blue. For music, you get both ears, and it flashes green. So if it ain't green, you are in mono mode.

Play music, tv and radio through my bluetooth

The RAZR V3M doesn't have the ability to play music through any bluetooth device, like some phones. Thats not a problem though. You can purchase special headphones, made by motorola, specially designed for your RAZR from almost any Radioshack or other electronics store from $20-$30.

IS MOTO RAZR S9HEADPHONE WORKS WITH MOTO RAZR V3I

If your phone supports the A2DP bluetooth protocol, music you play on the phone will be heard in both ears of the S9 headset.

Voice calls are always in one ear only.

Setting up phone to s9 headset.

I bought the same headset and also have a K1m, I did research and found out that the k1m does not have a2dp technology so it will not play music on any bluetooth stereo headset, in order to listen to music through a headset you will have to get the handsfree wired stereo headset, bummer
