I have lost my nokia e71 but i dont know the imei number how can we track the phone in such a case

my problem with my n8,, i do upgrade ,,then after that,, my phone dos corrupt my imei number,, tru flashing ,,and i do not know how to get it back although my friend technichian does not get back my imei number,, my question,,, how can i get back my imei number?? what other solutons,, please help, thanks..guys,,

Since Nokia E71 is a BB5 handset, it is impossible to reset the code via conventional methods. You need to bring your phone to a Nokia repair center. Keep in mind that they will reset the phone and you will lose everything you have in the phone.

try finding out ur IMEI number from the bills u recieved for the product or from the box in which ur phone came from... anyways u need the IMEI number... contact ur local police and file a case for missing phone with the IMEI num.... next alert ur phone connection company about this go to their office and submit the police report and the IMEI number they can then track ur phone...

Call your phone company so they know it's stolen. I dont think you can track it unless you have fancy police equip. and THEY call YOU.

ok mate dont worry it happens to us all ok i dont know anytin about tracein but i do kno you can shut the phone down so no one else can use it just go to the phone shop were you got it and tell them the number of your phone and they will be able to knock it off for you and hope this info helps also dont forget to rate me .

we found a site that offers a kind of lost and found service for the i-phone - its called http://someonestolemyiphone.com you can take a look or email the webguys - you post them the imei, they post it as lost - then if it turns up they email you who and where etc.

As far as I know IMEI numbers are like registration numbers, they dont actually trace. I know with modems etc that have IMEI numbers they cant be traced. At telstra IMEI numbers were only like a registration number, my suggestion is to cancel the phone. only a suggestion though....
