Can the Tom Tom One 3rd generation be charged via the computers USB Connection?

By online, I'm assuming you mean connected to your computer (via the USB port).
Just power on your GPS, then connect your GPS to your computer, using the USB port, and decline the CONNECT to Computer prompt. The GPS will then still be plugged into the USB port and the battery will be charged.

Connect the iPod shuffle USB cable connector into a high-power USB port on your computer.
Note: To charge an iPod shuffle battery, connect the device to a high-power USB port.

Please be aware that USB keyboards and non-powered USB hubs generally do not have high-power USB ports.

If you connect to a low or non-powered port, iPod shuffle will not charge.

The computer must be turned on and set to not go to sleep.

Plug the other end of the iPod shuffle USB Cable into the headphone port on the iPod shuffle.

Verify the iPod shuffle is connected securely.

Once the iPod shuffle is plugged in, it will take about 2 hours to charge the battery to 80% capacity and about 3 hours to charge it to 100%.

hook it up to your computer for a few hours via the usb cable...then try it again. your tomtom car charger is only a trickle charger, its meant to keep a charge on your tomtom, and wont charge it when its dead.

if it fails to start after you charge it via the usb cable, just post back with your specific model and ill help you further

Yes, I have an old nokio phone charger with the correct connection and it charges fine using that. It will also charge up when connected via the USB cable to your Computer, obviously when it is switched on,

i contacted apple support and emailed them with the problem and as it is still under warranty, they are going to send me a packaging box to send back to them so they can see what the problem is. if they can't repair it they will give me a replacement ipod. i have only had it 6 months and it has been working fine, but lately i cannot charge it by mains or car charger, only usb cable.

well, 1st u should uninstall itunes and re-install itunes for free by going to itunes.com. then make sure all the settings are right so it will reconize it. if dat doesnt work, email me ur problems to [email protected]
