Loud squeaky noises are usually a dry bearing--in this case, probably the one(s) that hold up the front of the drum. Open the top to inspect, then remove the front panel to replace or repair. Hope this helps!

Hi,
That sounds like an idiler pulley bearing...now the belt is either loose or turning hard and the motor pulley is burning it up...

the dryer needs a new drum belt and bearing,.

Usually lound screeching and squeaking noises are caused by dry drum rollers. You need to lube the rollers or replace them. When I say lube the roller I mean the shaft and bearing part of the roller.
