Make sure the graphics card can handle the games minimum requirements. if the game is trying to push more than the card can handle it will either kick you back to the desktop or reboot the computer.

Hp pavillion a1632x

According to this page,
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c00771728&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en#N83

Unless you added parts, or got a different variation of the computer, the A1632X has two available PCI slots and one available PCI Express x16

I'm the GF FX 5200 only came in AGP and PCI packages, the PCI Express model was label as a 5300.

If you have the PCI version, it should work. If you have the AGP version, there is no slot for it in the A1632X

PNY GeForce FX 5200 PCI 256 MB

http://www.geforce.com/drivers

Here you have an auto detect applet. You need to have Java in order to work. this will identify your graphic card and lead you to driver download.

if not, you can manually download it from here:
http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us

choose GeForce 5 Fx Series and your operating system.

after that, you will be presented with a page and download button for the driver suite.

run, install, next...next.. next until finish, then you are done.

You may be prompted to restart your PC to finish installation.

I have a GeFORCE FX 5200 PCI card, and onboard graphics. I had to restore my system, and cannot find the user manual. If it was available online, I'd follow the steps myself, but I'll settle for a quick...

Hi.

You do not necessarily need to disable the built in graphic adapter, the computer can manage two different adapters.
The nVidia should show picture with standard VGA definition (800x600 only) if simply connected to the AGP or PCI slot even if drivers are not installed, and even if built in GPU is not disabled.
If there is no picture, check installation in slot, check that card is not disabled in BIOS, check video cable is well connected, and if nothing works, test the video adapter on different PC, the card may be faulty.

My Dell latitud 3100, Can't see my new fx geforce 5200 256mb

Uninstall your previous graphics card drivers and install the ones for your 5200, if that doesn't work try getting the new drivers from the nVidia site or just smash it with a hammer!

Intermittent stalling in 3D games

sounds like yo had the same Problems that I had with my 5200 geforce The install did not go well. what was happening was the direct x was binding to the old mother board graphics system and not the new card . to make it rebind just change the refresh rate in the nvidia icon in your task bar . disable the display adapter from device manager for the motherboard graphics .put the card in the slot change the monitor cord boot up check you direct x by typing in run dxdiag and test directx to be sure it is running with your card you can also see that from the about nvidia you must have the driver for the card installed to do all this.. hope I helped install the driver first then disable download latest drivers here http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index5.aspx?lang=en-us

GEFORCE FX 5500 video quality low, slow motion videos and games

well if your trying to game on a pc the 5500 isnt quite sufficient. If you dont know about nvidia you are about 5 generations back of days cards. So the card wont handle any of todays games. If your really trying to game i suggest you build/buy a new rig. But as far as playing videos, quality should be good. Try goin to nvidia.com and downloading the newest drivers.

Nvidia v-vard

First, look at the card and make sure it's actually an Nvidia Geforce FX 5200. Of so, then you probably installed the wrong drivers for the card. Make sure you go to the Nvidia website and download the correct drivers for the card after deleting the ones already installed. Installing the incorrect drivers could cause Windows to report the wrong type of card is installed in your PC.

Nvidia geforce FX 5200 having poblems booting pc....

as your primary pc now has a working graphics card . I would guess your graphics card is fried in all honesty there is really no hope in repairing it especially for the cost of one of those cards, if you are simply using your second pc for non graphic intensive apps then I am sure you could find an ol pci grpahics card down the local dump for next to nothing hope this helps.
