Want to know how to put norton back on my computer
I ordered and got norton anti virus back in january i have 315 days left on it but some how it got removed off my computer and wanted to know how to get it back?
Re: want to know how to put norton back on my computer
Are you sure you want to do that? Norton is not the most effective antivirus, and really slows a computer down, while doing basically nothing. You would do better with Avast or just about any other antivirus thats free.

the problem with viruses are that they are being produced by hackers at a rate that keeps them ahead of anti-virus products like norton, and the rest
so if norton is not up to date or you have the wrong product ( norton has different levels of protection)it is a possibility that a virus can get through on the back of a e-mail or from face book ( anything that has a link is a potential virus )
from your description, I would be inclined to take it to a second authorized service agent for the laptop and get another opinion as to the problem as I don't think it is a virus but a faulty lap top hard drive ( retail shops seldom have fully qualified technicians for repairs )
remember that the best anti virus protection is you and if you get e-mails or face book messages out of the "blue" regardless of how real it looks , how inviting it is or how demanding it is , always treat it as dangerous and just delete it
On the bottom of the first screen it should indicate how many days you have left or that it is expired. and a link that says "view my renewal options". Click on that.
Next, you will be offered a page with a button to buy it that says "Stay Protected", but below that is a link that says 'I have key or code to enter'. Click on that.
A place to enter your product key is then provided. Once you type in your product key and submit it (your may have to enter some other information), it should come back to the first screen and say that you have a year (365 or 366 days) left on your subscription.
After downloading Norton 360 double click on the installation file and follow on screen instruction to install the file. Click on skip if it ask for product key. After installing Norton 360 open Norton 360 and click on live Update to download latest virus definition on to your computer. This will helps norton to find and heal the up to date virus.
After running live update perform complete system scan using Norton.
Note:
Uninstall existing Antivirus on your computer before installing Norton 360.
Your system performance will be little low for about 7 to 10 days after installing Norton, after this period it will become Normal.
This is trial version which will provide you 30 days validity but even 1 year subscription does the same task. You can install whatever antivirus if you wish to switch over.
First...congratulations on the Norton removal!
To remove it, go to Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs, scroll down until you find 'Norton's ....', and then Remove. When it asks if you would like to remove "ALL"....click 'yes'. Once that has been removed, you will need to reboot.
When the computer has restarted, go back into the Add/Remove Programs and remove all of the other programs related to *either* 'Norton's' or 'Symantec'.
Hi, if you want to install new norton anti virus you may delete all existing norton anti virus in the present pc and then install new norton so that no conflict your installation.
Norton 360 has the entire norton protection suite built into it. On top of the firewall, phishing protection, and e-mail protection it also has norton antivirus built right into it.
So yes, you have to uninstall antivirus to install 360, but 360 just installs antivirus again.
If you ever decide to go back to using just antivirus you can simply redownload it off their web site.
